Top 10 Korean Dramas You Can’t Miss

Gone are the days when we  were stuck with our mother in a room and we had to watch any Ekta Kapoor serial that was running for more than 5 years. Now we can just watch any sitcom, drama even movies with the mobile phones in our hand and the credit goes to the platforms like Netflix, amazon prime, disney+ etc.

With the change in time, we Indian also bought changes in our appetite for the series and movies to watch. we also added Korean shows to our Watch list. The Korean Times reported a rise in K-drama viewership during lockdown, making India among the top six countries contributing to views of K-pop and dramas.

Crash Landing on You

Crash Landing On You is a 2019–2020 South Korean television series written by Park Ji-eun, directed by Lee Jeong-hyo and starring Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin, Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Ji-hye. It is about a  South Korean heiress Yoon Se Ri who crash lands in North Korea during paragliding due to a heavy storm. There, she meets North Korean army officer Ri Jung Hyuk, who agrees to help her return to South Korea. Despite the tension between their countries, the two of them start falling for one another.

The Heirs

It is a South Korean television series starring the hottest actor working today Lee Min-ho, Park Shin-hye and Kim Woo-bin and written by Kim Eun-sook. Kim Tan(Lee Min Ho) is the heir to the Empire Group, a family conglomerate business, already engaged with wealthy  Rachel Ryu (Kim Ji Won) as a business deal.  He studies in USA, where he met Cha Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye), and fall in love with her unaware of the fact that she is the daughter of his family’s housekeeper. It is interesting to spectate the super elite kids to bear the burden of the crown.

Vicenzo

Park Joo-hyung (Song Joong-ki) is abandoned by her mother in his childhood. he was later adopter by an Italian family and became the head of the Cassano mafia family. He flew to korea knowing the secret of 1.5 tons of gold, Vincenzo becomes involved with lawyer Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been), the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case. They together fight with the villain of the country in mafia style.
This 2021  South Korean television series starring Song Joong-ki as the title character alongside Jeon Yeo-been, Ok Taec-yeon, Kim Yeo-jin and Kwak Dong-yeon was aired on television.

Its Okay To Not Be Okay

It is a South Korean romance drama television series written by Jo Yong and directed by Park Shin-woo. It stars Kim Soo-hyun, Seo Yea-ji, Oh Jung-se and Park Gyu-young. The series follows a selfless psych ward caretaker who lives with his elder brother, (who unfortunately is in trauma after spectating his mother’s homicide )and an antisocial children’s book writer. They heal each other and everyone around them.

Descendants Of The Sun

It is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji-won. Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki) is the captain of a South Korean Special Forces unit. He and his friend Master Sergeant Seo Dae-young (Jin Goo) are off-duty when the encounter  meets Dr. Kang Mo-yeon (Song Hye-kyo). Both, one fighting for the country and one fighting to save the life of people, fall in love.

Boys Of Flower

It is a 2009 South Korean television series that is based on the Japanese shōjo manga series Boys Over Flowers (花より男子, Hana Yori Dango) written by Yoko Kamio. Jan Di (Ku Hye Sun) is an average girl is admitted into the school on a swimming scholarship. She is a girl who stands up against injustice. She encounter the the four richest and most spoiled boys known as the F4 and falls for its leader.

Hotel Del Luna

This series starring Lee Ji-eun and Yeo Jin-goo as the owner and manager, respectively, of the eponymous hotel that caters only to ghosts. Cursed for a sin she can no longer remember committing, has to serve these ghost and have a strange world.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim It is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young. Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) is the vice-chairman of a major corporation. He lost his sleep  when his highly-capable secretary, Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young), resigned from her position after nine years of work. He did every possible thing to stop her and they both fell for each other.

The King: Eternal Monarch

The King: Eternal Monarch is a 2020 romantic-fantasy South Korean television series starring Lee Min-ho, Kim Go-eun, Woo Do-hwan, Kim Kyung-nam, Jung Eun-chae and Lee Jung-jin.
Written by Kim Eun-sook and produced by Hwa&Dam Pictures and its parent company Studio Dragon. Emperor Lee Gon of Kingdom of Corea finds out the parallel world which is opened by his half uncle. He encounter Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go-eun) in the other world, whom he was looking for since his childhood.

Pinocchio 

Pinocchio is a 2014–2015 South Korean television series starring Lee Jong-suk, Park Shin-hye, Kim Young-kwang and Lee Yu-bi. Ki Ha-myung (Lee Jong-suk) does not believe in media anymore, & decides to become one to discover the real truth, and on the other hand Choi In-ha (Park Shin-hye) has “Pinocchio syndrome, wants to become an anchor to follow his mother’s footstep but they both find out some dark secrets from past.
