Prime Minister YUVA scheme: India has a significant benefit of the rising young population, which needs a ladder to rise and shine. Considering the youngs and young talented minds of India, PMO (office of Prime Minister) came up with a new opportunity for budding writers and authors.
India’s 75th year of Independence will spectate a National Scheme:
YUVA: Prime Minister’s Scheme for mentoring young authors, under the visionary national level flagship programme of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. This programme will be in tune with Hon’ble PM’s vision of Global Citizen and establish India as a Vishwa Guru.

After ranking 3rd in book publishing, more creative writers, young intellectuals are getting this opportunity in which 75 writers below 30 years of age can present their talent.
This scheme will always stress towards India’s heritage and language. This will give a push to young mind to focus on their abilities and come up with something unique.

75 contestants will be selected by all India contest at Mygov. for round 1 under the guidance of Committee to be constituted by NBT (National Book Trust).

What is Prime Minister YUVA scheme?

Time period to submit the entries will be 4th june to 31st july, 2021. Contestants have to submit a manuscript of 5,000 words which will be judged on the suitability to develop it as a book later on.
Results will be out on 15th august 2021.

The selected author will further receive the guidance of selected mentors to help them finish their work by 15th December for publication. The published books then may be launched on 12th January 2022 on YUVA DIVAS or the National Youth Day.

Phase 1 will be of 3 months where they will receive training for 1 week in online session organized by The National Book Trust. During which the young authors will be trained by two eminent authors/mentors.

After this in phase 2 they will get the opportunity to sharpen their skills by active participation in Literary Festivals, Book Fairs, Virtual Book Fair, Cultural Exchange Programmes, etc. Under the Mentorship Scheme, at the end of a scholarship of ₹50,000 per month for a period of 6 months per author will be paid.

As a outcome a book or a series of book will be published by NBT. On successful publication, 10% will be given as royalty at the end. To promote Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, these publication will be converted into other languages ensuring the exchange of culture & literature between different states.
