Argentina have clinched the Copa America 2021 Trophy!
Copa America final: Brazil were the dominant side in the second half but the Argentine defence were managed to hold off the Selecao and secured a 1-0 victory. Argentina had their chances to extend their lead but fatigue and pressure crumbled Messi’s and Rodrigo de Paul’s chances in the fag end of the game.
Angel Di Maria’s strike in the 22nd minute was enough for the Albiceleste to overcome Tite’s men and end their run of failures in in major finals. Coach Lionel Scaloni and his men will be elated to finally lift the Copa America Trophy.
