Covid19 – Few Things to know

We all know Covid-19 or as we call it ‘the corona virus’ started spreading across the globe in late 2019. Some even claim to be aware of its spread as early as October 2019.

Wuhan, China was the first city to come into contact of this virus in December 2019 and many people got affected. Early visuals can be seen of people feeling dizzy and collapsing on the streets of Wuhan City. It’s all over internet.

Many in Wuhan and around the world believe as the evidence suggests that Covid19 exposure occured in a seafood market in Wuhan. The market was then closed on 1st January 2020.

On January 4 2020 WHO announced a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan, mainland China with no deaths. On January 11th, China announced its first death of a 61 year old man.

A fatal virus that brought havoc on the world, killing millions in number…who could have imagined!
After Wuhan City, it started to spread rapidly in whole of North American, South American continents. United States of America, Brazil then Spain, Italy, UK, France in Europe, South Korea, India in Asia etc.

Here’s a list of total covid19 cases by June 30, 2020 by WHO (region):-

By June, 2020 we knew that the possibility of a vaccine is still far away and it truly was.
It’s May, 2021 and many countries are still in the process of vaccinating its population. Some countries are still awaiting vaccine availability.

On this day, May 9th 2021, the total no. of cases are 158, 738, 264 of which 19,196,258 are still infected. Total death is at 3, 302,178 and the no. of total recovered people is 136, 238, 826.
